National Weather Service: Severe Thunderstorm Warning in Effect Until 1:45 PM MST For East Central Maricopa County.
At 1:14 PM MST NWS meteorologists continued to detect a severe thunderstorm capable of producing penny sized hail and damaging winds in excess of 60 mph. Dense blowing dust may accompany this severe storm. The storm is located near Phoenix Mesa Gateway Airport or near Gilbert. The storm is moving northwest at 10 mph.
Other locations in the warning include: Higley, Mesa and Chandler.
