What:
Abundant moisture will spread across much of the area today into Sunday. Isolated showers and thunderstorms this afternoon and
evening are forecast to become more widespread late tonight into Sunday morning resulting in areas of heavy rainfall capable of producing flash flooding. Additional showers and thunderstorms will also be possible Sunday afternoon and evening. .

The Flash Flood Watch continues for a portion of south central Arizona, including the following areas, Apache Junction/Gold Canyon, Buckeye/Avondale, Cave Creek/New River, Central Phoenix, Deer Valley, East Valley, Fountain Hills/East Mesa, New River Mesa, North Phoenix/Glendale, Northwest Pinal County, Northwest Valley, Scottsdale/Paradise Valley, South Mountain/Ahwatukee, Southeast Valley/Queen Creek and West Pinal County.

Impacts:
Locally heavy rainfall will be capable of producing flash flooding. Localized areas could receive 1 to 2 inches of rain. Burn scar areas will be especially susceptible to flash flooding.

Flash Flood Watch means that conditions may develop that lead to Flash Flooding. Flash Flooding is a very dangerous situation. You should monitor later forecasts and be prepared to take action should Flash Flood Warnings be issued.
