[Update: 9:12 AM] The National Weather Service in Phoenix has issued an urban and small stream flood advisory until 10:30 AM MST.
Weather service says at 8:32 a.m. MST doppler radar indicates heavy rainfall extending from the Coolidge area northward through Chandler.
[Update: 2:58 PM] The National Weather Service in Phoenix has issued a Flash Flood Watch for the greater Phoenix area through late tonight.
Weather service forecast is calling for numerous thunderstorms with very heavy rainfall rates. Some location s may experience rainfall totals exceeding one inch in a very short amount of time.
