Blizzard Warning in Effect Until Noon Tuesday

A strong Pacific storm system has brought snow to Northern Arizona, dumping 12 to 18 inches of new snow around Flagstaff, according to the National Weather Service in Flagstaff.

The weather service says snow will increase in intensity this evening and overnight bringing substantial snowfall to the higher terrain.

A blizzard warning remains in effect until noon MST Tuesday, the weather service says. Snow accumulations of 15 to 24 inches of snow is expected with local amounts up to 30 inches.
