Winter Storm Hits Arizona White Mountains
A major winter storm has hit Northern Arizona this weekend with heavy snows. Here's the latest storm totals from the weather service.
These are preliminary NOAA snowfall totals from Friday through 11:00 am Saturday afternoon:
This list includes the reported snowfall amounts in inches:
Alpine: 5 to 6 inches
Bellemont: Trace to 1 inch
Flagstaff Airport: Trace to 1 inch
Greer: 4 inches
Snowbowl (9500 feet): 5 inches
Snowbowl (10800 feet): 7 inches
Sunrise: 10 inches 1
The White Mountain Country Club webcam had a nice holiday treat. Fresh Snow! I have been keeping an eye on this Pinetop webcam all day.
Sunrise has been dumped on all day today. The folks have not updated any snow reports or total snowfall yet. I have seen a bunch of activity nears the ski lifts. These are people who work at the ski resort that are getting the ski area ready to open up.
