Hail E0.50 Inch: Department of Highways reports 6 injuries. Heavy hail caused at least 9 crashes on I-40. The interstate was closed by DPS while the wrecks were cleared. Two people had serious injuries and four people had minor injuries.

Tornado: Law enforcement reports a tornado was observed touching down between Cottonwood and Blue Gap. Trees and brushes in the area were knocked down.
